HIP HOP AND NEW YORK STANDARDS

There are a number of hip hop artists today who have a sound that is quite different from those that were heard decades ago and some rather vocal members outside the hip hop community have suggested that it would be better for the genre to go back to its roots and a style that was heard in New York City in the early 1990s. But asking modern artists to use their fruity loops in exactly the same way would seem to discount a lot of the amazing advances in music sound that have come about in the last twenty years with an entire new generation of rappers and hip hop artists enjoying their time to shine.
